Help us create boundary-pushing theatre!

At Stolen Chair, we're on a mission to create original works of theatre that challenge and delight audiences. We refuse to settle for the status quo, and we believe that theatre can be both high art and great entertainment. But we can't do it alone. With your support, we can continue to push the boundaries of what theatre can be. Your donation will help us create playful, stylish, and textually acrobatic performances that leave audiences thinking and feeling. Every dollar makes a difference. Please consider donating today and helping us bring our vision to life!

Our Mission

Our Mission

Empowering communities through the arts. Our organization creates 21 shows each year that inspire and engage audiences, while also providing educational opportunities and access to the arts for underprivileged youth. With the support of 60+ monthly donors and a track record of 13 successful campaigns, we strive to make the transformative power of the arts accessible to all.
Philosophy

Philosophy

We believe that the arts have the power to transform individuals, communities, and society as a whole. By providing access to the arts and creating engaging, thought-provoking works of art, we aim to empower people of all backgrounds and inspire positive change. We value diversity, inclusivity, and collaboration, and we believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute to the creative process. Through our work, we hope to foster a deeper appreciation for the arts and their ability to bring people together and spark meaningful conversations.
Our Story

Our Story

Back in 2006, a group of artists and community organizers came together with a shared vision: to use the power of the arts to create positive change in their community. They started small, putting on a handful of shows each year and working with local schools and community centers to provide access to the arts for underprivileged youth.
